Remake of Team Building Activity by Kelsey Fitzpatrick _ Staff - CaryHS

What made your group successful (or not) with the team building exercise? If this were a project for a grade based on the time it took to complete the task, what would you do differently? What piece of advice would you offer to other groups? You can make your own response or comment on others' for credit.

I think my group was relatively successful, especially considering the fact that we were just typing in chat the whole time and not actually talking, which we should probably do next time. Another point of success was being able to share and consolidate our answers by having people present their screens.

I think my group could of done better, we didn't really talk that much, and instead of working through the problems together, we just did them on our own and checked with each other. However that did work for us, and we finished pretty quickly. Depending on the project I think this can be a successful method. For the future it probably would of been better though, to unmute ourselves and talk through the project more.

My group was successful because we did a decent job communicating (through the chat). I think if we used the microphones more it would have been quicker and more effective, but I think we did okay overall. I shared my screen in our breakout room which was helpful because we could all see and complete it together. I think if this project was graded on the amount of time, using the microphone would speed up the process. I would definitely suggest to other groups for one person to share their screen, and to use the microphone more than the chat.

I think my group was successful because we all have the ability to imagine sequences in our mind. We were all able to compromise to each other patterns which allowed to us finish rather quickly. Everyone in our group being competent and selfless also helped with our performance as well.

I think my group was somewhat successful because we shared our screen to show exactly what we had done so it would be easier to explain what we did. I do think it would have been quicker if we had unmuted and used microphones.

I think my group was successful with the team building exercise because we communicated well through the chat. If it were a project graded based on time I would talk instead of typing through chat to speed things up. I think the only advice to offer that would be helpful is just to communicate with your group.

I think what made my group very successful is that we were able to easily agree on the correct answers and any disputes were fixed quickly and proficiently. I would not change anything about the work we did since we finished our project first. I would say that if you all try your own work and then communicate after everyone had finished, it would make the activity less disputable about what is right or wrong.

I think my group was successful because we all worked separately at first, then compared answers to come up with the final solution. I think we were pretty time efficient because we all got done individually around the same time, and comparing only took a couple minutes. One issue I could see in this method is if there was someone else in the group who took longer than the rest of us. If there was a person who wasn't able to complete the task on their own, this strategy wouldn't work. My advice would be to read the instructions more than twice to make sure you understand, but not too many times that you end up confusing yourself. Also, depending on the group, you will have to use different methods of communication because not everyone thinks the same.

I think we did pretty well on the assignment but we definitely could have done better if we communicated more and better. If it were a grade on time we could have had more urgency to do it or maybe split up the questions.
