I am a Muslim Syrian-American. I was born and raised here but my parents came from Syria. Being a Muslim Syrian-American has shaped me a lot and my religion and background are a big part of my life.

I have always lived in California and I hope I never have to leave! I love the people here and the welcoming feeling that California has to offer. I also love the beaches, desserts and mountains that it has and all within an hour away from me!

My favorite thing to do is to go out and explore the world with my love and best friend Zaid <3

My favorite color is green! if you haven't guessed already from the wallpaper.

I can fake a pretty good British Accent, and a few other accents as well.

I can also make monkey noises that sound like a real monkey lol!

I love watching Turkish soap operas translated into Arabic. The last one I watched was called Banat El Shams and it is my favorite so far, mostly because of the background music, it is so interesting! If you are interested here is a little sneak peak...

This is my cat Fistok. He is the cutest little fur ball! Well not so little actually he is a pretty chubby cat. His name means pistachio in arabic and we named him Fistok because his eyes are green and he is beige a bit like a pistachio and its shell.

Why a Math Teacher?

The reason I chose to become a math teacher is because I love math. And I know first hand how one teacher can make me hate a subject that I absolutely love but I also know that one teacher can make me love a subject that I hate. Many students fear mathematics and I want to be that teacher that helps students enjoy something they once thought they hated or feared or weren't good at.

I love art and I would consider myself a creative person so I also hope to bring some one that into the subject of math which can sometimes be seen as bit dry. I love to draw and make cards and build. This is the last drawing I drew of a Quran, as I said earlier religion really takes a big part of my heart.
