eicd mitosis fun kit

our product is a learning tool kit about mitosis and it contains 4 compartments consisting of colourful pop-up short notes in the form of comic, terminology book and three interesting activities which are "rock your mitosis", mingo and human chromosome. It is interactive and enjoyable learning process which will make the learners feel excited, eager to learn and become more motivated.

Our seminar presentation is about the use of practice and drill in teaching science subject. This includes the introduction on what is practice and drill is all about, how it can be used in the instruction, the pros and cons of using this method and last but not least,guidelines for the teachers in improving their instruction using this method.

LIGHT-ME-UP is our teaching aid project for this subject where we created it focusing on the topic of conductivity of electricity. It is built with aim to help teachers in introducing and engaging the students in learning the conductivity of electricity by testing any object or liquid that they think could light up each compartment in the house model. Rather than testing conductivity in a naked circuit, we tried to take a step ahead in triggering the students' curiosity with LIGHT-ME-UP for they could just test anything they think is conductor to electricity by touching the paper clip attached to the circuit for each circuit connected to each room respectively to see whether the object/liquid could conduct electricity thus lighting up the room they choose. By that, teacher would be assisting along the activity by monitoring students movements as well as triggering further discussion with the students on the ability of objects they choose to test in conducting electricity.

This product is an interactive game that being adapted and innovated from monopoly game and come with a new "wanderVille" game. It was designed specifically for teacher and student in science subject especially in photosynthesis topic. this game is introduced to help student enjoy learning, practicing & mastering of photosynthesis topic.In other words, it was design to encourage problem based learning by attracting student interest.

We
(Minah, Ajah, Ajelin, Ana) have participated in EICD. We enjoyed the process of preparing our own game to aid in teaching and learning process, either at school or at home. Indicia is suitable for students to be played when they have free time, parents who want their children to engage in beneficial game, and for teachers who want to make their teaching session alive. This game is constructed to cover Biology subject for form 4 and above. It covers subtopic of water pollution.

We hope to join this kind of competition again in future bcause we had so much fun.

Thanks to Mr Hisyam for the guidance and advice.

FIELD TRIP LANGKAWI (S'CAMP)

instead of just doing indoor learning process, this course taught us to work in a group to make the fantasy of having such a wonderful field trip comes true. :P

We planned for a field trip to Langkawi, we work together in completing all the compulsory stages to make this field trip happens, such as doing the paper work for several times, do the correction and learn from the experiences with guidance from such a charismatic lecturer Mr. Hisyam.

We went to SK Langkawi to conduct a program named S'CAMP which stands for Science Champion Camp. It is a program to help the students to have better understanding regarding science concepts in the syllabus by doing physical activities instead of just learning the theory or concept in the classroom. The activities conducted during this program are considered as the additional of extra knowledge for the students.

The kids really enjoy the program and we got positive feedbacks from teachers and participants, which is the students.

Thanks Mr. Hisyam for guiding all of us in making this program turned into reality.

During the seminar presentation, we have conducted several experiments. these experiments are quite easy to do but can explain the concepts briefly. So, basically, this firework in ajar explains about the concept of density. at the end of experiment, you will see the food coloring drops down into water and while the oil stay at the top of the bottom. this happens because food coloring and water are denser than the oil.
