We often spent Christmas there and such, I remember one particular Christmas where I fell down a tree and I didn't want to tell my parents so my wound got infected because of my cousin trying to patch the wound. I can remember the place vividly, the houses, trees, even the garden of my grandmother easily. My dad is originally from sagada but they lived in mt. province and my mom is from kalinga. The best memory I had was visiting sagada when I was little and enjoying the scenery of the place. The last time we went there was last 2 years ago. Visiting sagada is very different from my mom's hometown. Sagada is very cold which I liked more. Moslty we go there to eat or even play basketball because they're is a court there. Sometimes we passed by the place just to buy foods. I missed going there especially if it's ber months because it will be really cold visiting there. My best memories there were when I spent my celebrations and vacations with my grandparents who are now both in Heaven. We took care of our grandfather's fishes in his fish pond. My grandfather taught me how to make crafts from bamboo and he taught me how to plant coconut trees. While, my grandmother taught me how to cook simple filipino dishes and how to take care of pigs and chickens. In conclusion, I will cherish these teachings that my grandparents taught me and I will make sure that in some point of time I will share it to my own children.
