         <description><![CDATA[<p>This piece has made me impressed due to how it portrays the background.</p><p><br/></p><p>Most paintings that I've seen in the Renaissance only highlight the importance of specific figures using the background to redirect us to the figures.</p><p><br/></p><p>This image is different in which the figures to the left aren't just the main focus, there's an elaborate background, city, houses, trees, and a full fledged mountain!</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I chose this art-piece out of bias and admiration. The painting just portrays so much emotions emanating from the men's faces.</p><p><br/></p><p>You can see disgust, curiosity, and almost a sense of unease across multiple of the mens face as they're learning about the human body.</p><p><br/></p><p>It's charming in a way, and also a bit silly, of course you can see why they react, they're watching Dr. Tulp dissect a deceased man in front of their eyes to educate them.</p><p><br/></p><p>As an unrelated side-note since I didn't delve into doing research instantly, only just describing the picture, I do believe that there wasn't any other proper way to figure out about the human anatomy, so they took a body and opened it up for showcasing, ewie creepy!</p>]]></description>

And in this sculpture its a brutal scene of jesus after a whipping hes still so beautiful and captivating, his skin is like pearl and his face is sorrowful but really peaceful.</p>]]></description>

I like Mary being in the center and having the bright blue outfit to stand apart from the rest.          <description><![CDATA[<p>This piece caught my eye because it's very simple, yet very thought-provoking and it makes me wonder about its intentions. You can tell that it's Spanish Baroque because it's a still life depicting fruits, something seen in Dutch Baroque as well. The use of a dark background and light on the subject matter also makes it Baroque. </p>]]></description>
