I spent time in the following classes: Chemistry 1, Physical Science, English, US History, and World History. As well as a different type of student interaction. For example I noticed that the male teacher was much more relaxed and had a lot more fun with students and they with him. The female teachers were more straight and to the point. 
Students with each other seemed to be the typical jolliness that I would expect from teens. Which seemed to surprise me just a bit. Maybe it has to do with the times we live in or the fact they had a safety issue last year. I was asked for my ID when I walked in. All the teachers kept their doors closed and locked, during classes. The only exception was during pass periods, the moment the bell rang, doors closed. A couple things that struck me as unique, were the fact that they say the pledge in the middle of the day--this is when they have seminar and also each teacher let the kids pack up 2 minutes before the bell rang. Students were literally waiting at the door! 
Non school things that I noticed were that clothing styles really come back around! There didn't seem to be a lot of worry about the dress code--maybe I am just old and don't realize that the world has changed! Remember the chain wallets that were popular in the 90s?
