First day of the English Together is really full of new things. My Personal Star warm-up activity is encouraging and Tea or Coffee activity is very important to understand the feelings of your partner by looking at the face. It is a new activity for me.
I can use both of them in my classes and local PDC meetings.
Class -Record is the least relevant tasks to my classes. It is hard to control them in group activities if they speak L1 or L2. May be I can choose a student in a group and s/he can keep time for a group record instead of a class' record.
I found Facilitator and Journalist activity interesting. It will help students to develop asking questions skills. Running Dictation is also one of the activities I use in the classes and it is challenging for my students and very enjoyable for kineasthetic students.
I would adapt and use Tea or Coffee? activity to my upcoming PDC meeting. I will make pairs of : reading-listening, speaking-writing,grammar-vocabulary, teaching-learning, sitting-walking, indoor-outdoor
Today's session make me feel more motivated to guiding my students and also I'm happy to understand that I 've already been doing different activities in the classes.

Listening Day started with a song. And this skill is the most challenging skill for me personally because İ have hearing loss and İ have to use hearing aid. So I can understand the students in that case. I also show them my hearing aid so that they feel the friendly atmosphere.
Ok,let's start. İ couldn't remember the full form of ICQ but i always ise this technique to check understanding.
Me,too / Me,Neither activity is a different form of my 'That's Me' activity. I did this activity last year at the beginning of the term. Students stand in circle and İ showed them the sentences. (İ wrote them on a flash cards because they it was the first time İ met them and İ didn't know their level). İf the sentence is true for them ,they raised hands and shout (not verly loudly, and also i did this activity outside) 'That's Me'. Then İ asked them to work in groups of 15 as they were 30 students .
Train Journey is a great and challenging activity. İ can apply this into my classes and PDC meetings.
İ found the correct name that fits me. Diplomats😂. İ have some diplomats in my classes and a lot of spies. I can apply this to my early-finishers and late-sleepers🤭
I love jumbled sentences activities and İ generally use them with songs. But I used to check the answers one by one with the students until today but I learnt a new technique. To write the answers on a paper that's in a transparent file. I promise to use this technique. Simple but creative.🤩
Let's come to differentiation part. As I have to use MoNE Book,I need to differentiate a lot of things. But to be honest,I haven't done many differentiations about listening. One of my little differentiation is that ; in T/F exercises,İ want the students to correct the F ones.
Last but not the least ,instructions. I see that I give the instructions correctly. İ've been doing the steps that you have mentioned today.
Nice to have With you.
Take care. CU2morrow

In my district, the students do not believe the importance of speaking English. But I'm a bit luckier that I work at a science high school. Still there are some problems at teaching English. My students have difficulties with forming sentences. They have problems with the order of the words as they are slightly diferent from their mother tongue. To solve this problem,I can write the phrases, collocations and the words that go together on flashcards and hang them around. We discussed this in a group activity today and it was very useful for me.I learnt from my colleagues.
Today, I learnt the app Flip and I liked it. I can use it with my speaking exams. (I was just trying to find a solution for my speaking exam and I learnt this app today. What a nice coincidence.)
As a warm up activity we did parasites, tellers ang guessers. I can do this with my PDC class easily but it is a bir difficult with my students as it is difficult to control them. I'm sure that; when I do this activity in class, the next door teacher will the one that hates me the most. This is my destiny:))
Paper slide is a very useful idea for the lower level students as they do not have to speak too much. I liked it:)
I also lidek the last activity that we do. Choose an app or a website and make a video about it. It gives the opportunity to do a group work and it is funny.

(Grade 9 Book p.19) Two years ago I wanted to adapt a reading part .Actually I didn't want to use the passage in the book. I wanted to integrate listening and reading. The passage was about Melda Umur Saguner,a Turkish musician. I found a video on the net and I wrote the lyrics of the video. As pre-reading: I asked the questions: Can you play a musical instrument? If not, which instrument would you like to play? Please talk it with your partner.
After they talked,I draw a mind map on the board and elicit the instruments. Then the next question: Do you know any worldwide famous Turkish musicians?
T: There is one that you may not know. So let's have watch a video about this Turkish musician but some words are missing . please watch and write them.
While-reading 1: Students watched the video an filled in the missing words.
While-reading 2: Students now read the passage and answered the question that were on the course book.
Post-Reading: They prepared a poster about a worldwide famous musician in groups of 4-5.
I will put the links of the activity and the video on this page. If you need sth, we'll be there. :) Regarding your reflection, you have already been using some of the activities. Your students are lucky to have you as their teachers with full of beans. I'd like learn about your ideas on your upcoming PDC meetings, as well. Thank you. :)

Writing is a bit challenging for my students but I try to have them write short paragraphs instead of long ones. Write-Fold-Pass is one of my favourite activities that I do in my classes. I like doing it for tenses.
Agony Aunt is one of the activities that I do. (Oh I've done most of these activities:).I explained how I do today.
But I haven't tried Acrostic before. But I think will be very useful and motivating. I'll use it.

The most effective vocabulary teaching suggestion is to use the Word List at the back of the class. This new for me. I couldn't think to use the list in that way. My students will like it because they have the habit of studying words frem the secondary school so that I can help them to improve this in a new way.
Let's come to vocabulary book. I'm a bit of old-fashioned on this topic. If possible,I may want my students to have a vocabulary book that they write the English explanation and use the word in a sentence. Not a hard cop but may be a digital one. I tell them to write the new vocabulary on the right side of their book. What is more,my students come to high school knowing a lot of words. But I see that I can make more practice on this topic.
Today while you are talking a new idea came up to my mind. On any topic,I will write the explanations ona slide and show them on the board. I'll want them to work in groups of four and find the word from their vocabulary notebook. They'll write in on a transparent boards with a boardmarker and make peer correction.

At the beginning of the assessment session I said that I was the monkey at the top. As a teacher ,yes I'm there. I can assess well but I see that I haven't done any self or peer assessment so far. So let's come how I can apply this in my classes. I can remember Teacher Mustafa's idea. I'll put smileys chart near the door and I'll want the students to draw,or stick smileys ont he suitable part for them.
I think I've get the idea of PDC sessions but I have still my reservations. I'm trying to make them clear actually.I need to work on the planning a PDC meeting.
