International communication mixes formal and informal language use, written and oral genres, challenging "native speakers" who speak and write "properly." Conventions and programming interacts (Digital Society Blog, 2020). Also, the Philippines is known as one of the English-speaking countries. While the Philippines is proficient in English, its competitive advantage is questioned. Stakeholders agreed the government must improve English instruction for the workforce (Cabigon, 2015).
