a first person source, someone who witnessed or was there when the event happened
SECONDARY...
a second person view, someone who heard what happened, or heard a rumor, but wasn't there when the event happened.

EXAMPLE (primary):

We arent 100% what primary and secondary means but we tried 
 
we think primary is like first person  Example- Primary : Queen Bell -"i was there at a basket ball game and the warriors won !!" .So as you see this person was there at the game so thats Primary .

Secondary: is someone else point of view  Example - "  OMG Did you know Yazmeen Mohammed  found a monkey in her bed "This person that is talking wasn't there at the event but she found out .So this is a rumor .

For example a rumor is someone actually heard it then it is direct evidence. On the other hand secondary sources are if someone told you a rumor but didn't actually see it and it keeps on going around the whole school but was only a secondary source because nobody actually heard from the person who the rumor was made of.

 The definition of a primary resource is to me, is a type of statement/claim/evidence, that is main, important, and major.

  The definition of secondary resources  are basically a statement/claim/evidence, that are additional, supportive,  or just extra, to the primary/normal resource.

A secondary source is told from someone who heard the story, didn't actually experience it. For example, if someone fell off a cliff a survived, if they told a reporter it would be a primary source.
