Today, I have learnt about first chapter of this subject, which is introduction to networking. In this chapter, I learnt about the definition of network, type of network, characteristic of network, network standard, multimedia system and content. Today we learnt about data compression. There are 2 type of data compression which is entropy and source.
For entropy, it is lossless and consist of 2 technique which is repetitive sequence and statistical. For source, it can be lossy and lossless and consist of 3 technique which is differential, vector quantization and transform based.

Today we learnt about Multimedia networking communication. There are 3 aspect which is network performance parameter, quality of service and multimedia transmission. Network performance consist of  4 parameters to be measure which are throughput, networking delay, delay variance and error rate.
