حساب القوه المحصله وهناك طرق ثلاث رئيسية لاستخدام المتجهات في تعيين القوة المحصلة: 1- طريقة متوازي الأضلاع 2-طريقة المضلع 3- الطريقة التحليلية 
طريقة متوازي الأضلاع. تستخدم في حساب محصلة قوتين فقط في كل مرة. في هذه الطريقة يُستخدم المتجهان اللذان يمثلان القوتين المتلاقيتين لرسم متوازي أضلاع 
الطريقة التحليلية. تستخدم أيضًا لإيجاد المحصلة عندما تؤثر أكثر من قوتين على الجسم
