Year 8 we introduce Specific Design Terminology, Brief, Concepts, Final Drawing, Tool Glossary and Terms. Year 9 CATS have different expectations with Design Terminology and Mood Boards. Year 10 introduced to Double Diamond Design Process and how it applies to the work they are doing. VCE it is explicit in each UNIT that the new study design talks about. UNIT 1 they learn how to work in Design Teams and how they talk with Terminology within those teams. Product Design Elements & Principals are the key ideas introduced and talking like designers talk. UNIT 2 is how designers allow for humans and their needs, and we introduce anthropometric data and relationship of the human body to design, and the terminology interlinked with Product Design Elements and Principals. UNIT 3 & 4 all of the design language and terminologies have been solidified in the lower years but there are always students that come in without this. Design Booklets help for review and for new students to learn from.
