Suitable diet - food and water, giving them the correct amount of food
Environment - Clean place to rest and sleep being housed with or without other animals
Enrichment - toys, playing, running around with other animals
Health - doing health checks making sure that nothing is abnormal to the animal
Companionship - having another animal around to make the animal feel less lonely and to give it company

Social animals must be housed with other animals. If they are not, this can effect their mental state and in extreme cases they can start to harm themselves.
Appropriate enclosure size.
Must be able to exhibit natural behaviours such as foraging, digging etc.
They should have some form of enrichment.
They must have access to a vet when needed.

The Animal is being fed the right types and amount of food and how often the animals needs to be feed along with supplementation if needed

The Animal is being given enrichment through being able exhibit their natural behaviours because it hunting or searching for their food digging / burrowing or play

The Animal is being housed correctly according to their social needs with another animal or alone if necessary

Being properly protected from illness or disease through their enclosures being properly cleaned or being properly immunised when young
