The greenhouse affect is where co2 and other gases are released into the air and up into the atmosphere. It then adds onto the ozone layer creating a warmer earth. Some of the suns radiational heat travels to earth in electromagnetic waves. Then some of it bounces and reflects on earth then goes back up, but some is trapped in the ozone layer. When the ozone layer is thicker the earth gets warmer and things like ice sheets start to melt.

the greenhouse gas affect happens when the sun radiation shines onto the earth heating it up and the ground absorbs a lot of the heat but reflects up some. Of that small amount most of it goes back into space but a small percent of it gets reflected back onto the earth because of a layer of greenhouse gases, but because of the burning of fossil fuels the layer is increaing and causing more heat to be reflected back onto the earth, which adds to global warming.

The greenhouse effect is the effect in where humans emit Co2 through cars, factories, etc. and that Co2 adds to the O Zone layer which allows sunlight to come in and out of our atmosphere. As the O Zone layer thickens, sunlight brings radiation heat in, but as it reflects off the earth it is unable to leave our atmosphere. This is causing the heat to stay in our atmosphere and warm the earth. This is causing ice caps to melt, sea levels to rise, etc.
