Situated Learning Theory was created by Lave in 1988. It focuses on the unintentional and situated aspects of learning. Although most of the learning happens in a structured classroom setting, there are many opportunities for learning centered around human action and performance (Spector, 2016).

Technology tools, such as TransfrVR, offer students the opportunity to apply what they are learning in the classroom to real world, hands on experiences. They get to perform and practice the skills they've read about in textbooks.
