Platinum Command

Platinum commands purpose is to coordinate different departments and agencies in the response to the 7/7 bombings. It consisted of officials and agency personnel working with ministers and the Prime Minister to make important and beneficial decisions involving this attack. At 8:50am the first bomb was detonated at Arigate Station and the emergency services were contacted by people on the scene. When the situation unfolds Platinum Command would be working behind the scenes contacting the M15,travel lines and utility companies and other important services to handle the attack by finding out the route cause,

Depending on the emergency, officials and agencies will be handling the immediate decisions to pass down the command chain. They ensure the wider part of the government is coordinated (e.g. the other commands in the chain) and make important decisions to make the UK citizens feel safe during an emergency.

After the attack the Platinum Command will instill new policies that are relevant to the attack and will allow them to handle a situation similar to this more efficiently.

Gold Command

Section off crime scenes, subways and the area around the bus.
Send Ambulance to the injured, Fire service to assist them and have Police section off areas and respond to public drip feed them information of what was happening. send in the bomb squads to check for any secondary devices before the ambulance and fire enter.
Shut off all public transport.
When more information is gathered and told, new goals can be created.
Relay information gathered to the government.
Inform utility companies.

Bronze Command

locate where it happened and try and figure out any links as to where they are happening.

. there would be 4 bronze commanders commanders 1 in each location in order to gather reports and statements of witnessed and report it back to the silver commander.

There will be tasks givens to them by silver and gold commanders which they will complete .For example report number of deaths and who is injured and any infrastructure damage

. They will corner off the bus and surrounding area, close down tube station and lines going up to each station.

. allow blue light plus emergency services into scene to help out

What we are going to do - We are going to do this by take incrustations from the Gold Command so then we can come up with a plan to to then address what the Gold command has told us, which then we can give the Bronze command their roles to try and stop more casualties getting further hurt or more environmental damage. First thing we will do is give the police offices the role of closing off the roads to prevent congestion on the roads with other vehicles incase of chance of the vehicles hitting the casualties or the bus.

How are we going to do it – We first must ensure that the location of the detonations is shut down and evacuated. Also, we need to inform local trainlines of the detonations to warn public officials and local workers of the threat to prevent more loss of life. We need to tell the bronze command chain that it is a suspected suicide bombing and to let them know of the exact time of the bombers this is done to calculate how much time survivors have until they die which can relate to the blue light services response times. It would also be beneficial to bronze command to be aware of the exact location of the attacks which were Old Gate, Edgeware Road and Picadilly train line. They were apparent with three simultaneous explosions that occurred at 8:50AM in July 2005. This tells us that the attack was organized. A fourth explosion occurred at 9:47 AM on a bus for alternative transport to trainlines due to the tube networks being shut down in the emergency. The bus exploded at the back and to the top of the roof off. We will conduct these plans by addressing the Bronze command of all the above and carefully disusing a plan to best suit the interests of public safety and operational efficiency of the blue light services commanded by the Bronze command, anything that were to happen after is to be consulted to the higher-ups of the Gold command to offer and take advice for the betterment of the operation.
