The three of them  become best friends as the story goes on. They go to an overnight camp with the school and Auggie gets teased by older kids. There are three boys, Miles, Amos, and Henry, who stick up for Auggie and he becomes more popular and accepted. Patrick gives Omri a plastic cowboy named Boone. Little Bear (the Indian) despises Boone. Aidel, Omri’s brother, hides the cupboard because he thinks that Omri took his gym shorts. When Omri and Patrick find the cupboard under the floorboards , the key is missing. Little Bear and Boone are plastic again without the key. It was interesting to read about historical events that I wasn’t familiar with. “Refugee” caught my attention and the stories were engaging.
