Why I chose this career path

Most are probably wondering why a teacher becomes a teacher. My journey is quite similar to that of other teachers. I was inspired by a role model or three who were all teachers. I did have other careers in mind but ultimately decided to stick with teaching. I teach English and additionally Creative Writing, Drama, and even German. Language was and still is something I am very enthusiastic about learning and teaching.

Outside of Classroom and School

Outside of my work environment, I tend to travel and even relax at home. I have always loved going to amusement parks since I was a young girl and it has been a tradition to go every summer when I can. While I have the money, I also tend to leave the country and go to Germany, England, Scotland, and even Japan. When I am not traveling I am at home watching movies, TV shows, reading a book, or even writing a book. I have also been to conventions and Renaissance Fairs before, and continue to go when I'm not super busy with other more important things in my life.

The Educational Journey of Me

I graduated high school in 2018 and soon after went to college. I attended Lebanon Valley College for a semester before ultimately leaving the school due to how expensive attending the school was. I took a year or two off from school before applying for Pulaski Technical Community College in 2021. I graduated in 2023 with my associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences. I applied to the University of Arkansas during my last year at Pulaski Tech. While applying I changed my major from just English to English Education. Before I could start though I had to take two extra classes in order to gain my degree from Pulaski Tech. In my Fall semester, I retook Creative Writing as it is required for my major. I even had to retake Technology in Education but chose to take that course in the Spring semester. During the fall I also applied for the Education degree path, but due to the fact I had some classes I had yet to take, or classes I had to retake; I did not get into the program and have to reapply again in the fall.
