The strategy of this Super Bowl ad is to reflect the book 1984, but also to show that Apple products are the products of the future. Apple produced it and they are appealing towards an audience who is intrigued by technology and a sense of power. They were appealing to a younger target group while also making a big statement in the advertising business. This is my favorite ad because it is so well-known for its time, the story-line concept of reflecting the book by George Orwell while also pushing the limits of great advertising.

This ad campaign was done by Pictionary in order to display the creative aspect of the game. It’s odd and different because they create pictures that someone has drawn during the game and make them look more realistic. I would say that the brand mostly targets children but if you look at other pictures done during the campaign, the person shown with their drawing gets older so they are trying to widen their target audience. If you haven’t played it, Pictionary is a game that is almost like charades but with pictures. I would say that it is effective; it shows the message behind the game, what makes it fun and that any age can play it. I personally find it appealing and fun so I’m sure that other people feel the same way.

This ad was done by Nike about working to better yourself through working out. I feel as though there is always an environment affecting consumer purchasing decisions revolving around our own personal health and wellness. It started out of the need to always wanting to fit to society's expectations of our bodies, our general health, and the fact that businesses know they can use it to their advantage. I do feel as though it was an effective strategy.

My favorite advertisement from the Super Bowl was for Tide. It went one-by-one through different situations that other brand's have portrayed their products, but it was ultimately "just for Tide." I feel that it was a change in strategy for Tide that was very effective since I know that many other people found it really entertaining also. It used its competitors rather than just talking about its use or application like Tide usually does.

This Oreo ad from India is a good example of visual esperanto because even though it is in a different language, I can still recognize the company through the way they portray their product as being family-friendly and somewhat innocent. This ad appealed to me because it is something that everyone can relate to no matter where they are from. They are delicious!

The following ad was displayed in Wired magazine which talks about emerging technologies and culture. The message strategy was geared towards tech people that read this magazine who are more conscious about tech products being outsourced to other countries and "taking away work from the United States". The appeal is that the design is very sleek and you can see all of the colors that the product has available, but there is also another underlying message. They executed it well in the magazine and it was displayed on a full page which made it hard to miss.

This newspaper ad is about a local Chinese restaurant. Some of the advantages of this advertisement is that it is geared to a local audience that would more than likely be interested in purchasing their service. It also has a coupon attached for a "buy one, get one free" deal. Another good thing is that they have their website attached so people can order online. A disadvantage is the coloring, it doesn't have very much life in it, just the bare minimum information. What is also an advantage is a disadvantage because since it is just a local reach, they aren't fully reaching their capabilities outside the consumer market of their town with this ad type.

This advertising was effective in reaching me because it was done through email marketing which is a digital marketing tactic. It can also be considered location based since the deals are done based on the nearest pizza hut. It worked because they already had my email through the loyalty program so they utilized my information and location to see if they could sell me their product again.

This advertisement on social media uses the content seeding strategy to appeal and bring in consumers. It uses financial incentives (a lower price that is usually costs) with a interesting video plus free shipping to try to give the feeling of being exclusive/financially apt. They probably geared this advertisement towards me because I like to watch cooking how-to videos on Facebook.

Below are pictures of mobile app game ads that pop up while someone is using the app. I have seen the Big Fish Casino ad before so I felt a little bit more connected to this example than to others. If the ad pops up during a game, I feel that it is a little bit better placed than if it is used in a random ad. I honestly feel that these ads are used with less mature apps and aren't very effective. The only time I click on them is whenever I accidentally hit it and then when it takes me to an alternate page, I rush to click out of it so I don't have to waste my time on it. While it does do well with showing what service they are selling/promoting, I feel as though it gives their message a bad reputation of being spammy.

I know it is definitely effective because I have used or received advertisements from them before that have legitimately gotten me to leave my house to go to their store just because of that email. It was customized to me, I directly responded, and it built my relationship with that brand because now I look for their emails for new deals and offers.

It was effective to prompt me into action because I have been to Old Navy before and I know that they always have good deals going on. They know that I have used their product before so they are using that data to their advantage. I feel like it could be a disadvantage for people who aren't necessarily loyal to them because they could see the email as junk and not entirely unique.

I feel as though this was a very effective example of a sponsorship because if I was watching tv or at a NASCAR show, I would definitely recognize the target symbol and know exactly what was being promoted. I feel as though the other brands that are represented on the car could have found a better way to differentiate themselves because with such a huge brand image, it may be hard for people to recognize them.
