- Question: How can we learn from what Siddhartha is doing?
- Siddhartha is putting aside his material desires in order to better his life and achieve enlightenment. Although we do not believe in enlightenment, we can use his example to get rid of our over materialistic views in order to grow closer to God and in our faith.

This was a great meeting in which we discussed a very deep question of, how can we grow from Siddhartha’s story? We concluded that we can do so by growing in our faith through denying materialism; however it is difficult to do so in a material centered world. One thing we did well this meeting was that we all participated in the discussion and answering of this question, and we all shared our or journals that we took.

- In this meeting we once again discussed journals
- Sam and Dan both drew pictures of people in nature, seemingly Siddhartha in order to represent how he managed to achieve enlightenment at the end of the novel. 
-Sam drew a man under a tree in order to represent Siddhartha during his journey of enlightenment. Meanwhile Dan drew a photo of Siddhartha at the river bank in which he realized that nature is the key to achieving enlightenment.
- Ryan’s journal delves into how enlightenment cannot be taught, and instead one has to venture out and achieve it on their own, which is something that Siddhartha believed at the end of the book.

This meeting went really well once again. Everybody brought meaningful topics to the discussion through their journals. Our final thoughts on the book are that it was interesting, and we enjoyed reading it. Despite not knowing much about philosophy or more specifically Indian philosophy, we still had a great time reading and discussing it.
