Now if yer wantin to be gettin into the big leagues matie, then you'll have to get through caucuses and primaries. A caucus is when a group of likeminded people meet in their political party to select and choose candidates they want to support. At the primaries, qualified voters cast ballots for their preferred candidate. Some states have open primaries, however good ol' Pennsylvania has a closed primary, only open to democrats and republicans.

The campaign in all about money and influences, mate. Many times the President will help the support the campaign of his party's candidate, however if they have a lower approval rating, you'll be wantin to walk the plank rather then have his support! The amount of money spent on the campaign is based off of the office involved, if the candidate running is a challenger or incumbent, and the availability of funds.
