[The reason why I like this book]
- An extraordinary work that completely observes, experiences and recognizes life from the perspective of women, and interprets the living conditions of women in a multi-dimensional panorama.
    From a rare perspective, Ferrante explores the profound and complex existing patterns of friendship between women, depicting the special impact of poverty on women, as well as women's persistence and compromise when they face up to their physical desires and boldly express their relationship between the sexes. Main Characters can get rid of the shackles of traditional thinking in previous women's literature. They examine and think about the world through the eyes of women, and establish their own discourse power.

- In the 1970s, the second feminist movement in Western society sparked. Many female authors tacitly published some highly recognizable works. They observed from their own perspectives, spoke with women’s own voices, and demonstrated their understanding of life experiences, publicly expressing the desires of women.
    During that period, feminism became the main topic among intellectuals, but "Neapolitan Novels" jumped out of the limitation of "feminism" and continued to advance towards a grander "female" perspective. Life is full of struggles. People encounter problems, solve problems, and rise and fall between the peaks and valleys of the waves. The problem of women is not only a problem of "women", but also a problem of "human nature". The giant palm of the Bitter God never favors any gender. The joys and sorrows of men and women may not be the same, but it is often human beings who make the difference.

There is an article in Kazuo Inamori's book ‘The Way of Living’. The author asks what is the purpose of living? The author's answer is to make his soul a little better than before he was born. At that time, it suddenly occurred to me that this is similar to the original sin theory of Christ and the achievement of complete enlightenment of Buddhism, one word to describe-it is redemption. People who have really lived will understand that living is self salvation in suffering, and the Buddha is no exception, and the difficulties of the world are much more difficult than going up the knife mountain.

Confucius was a Chinese thinker and social philosopher， whose teachings and philosophy have deeply influenced Chinese， Korean， Japanese， and Vietnamese thought and life.
His philosophy emphasized personal and governmental morality， correctness of social relationships， justice and sincerity. These values gained prominence in China over other doctrines， such as Legalism or Taoism during the Han Dynasty(206 BC–220 AD). Confucius' thoughts have been developed into a system of philosophy known as Confucianism. It was introduced to Europe by the Jesuit Matteo Ricci， who was the first to Latinise the name as “Confucius.”
His teachings may be found in the Analects of Confucius ， a collection of “brief aphoristic fragments”， which was compiled many years after his death. Modern historians do not believe that any specific documents can be said to have been written by Confucius，but for nearly 2000 years he was thought to be the editor or author of all the Five Classics such as the Classic of Rites (editor)， and the Spring and Autumn Annals.

Every time I see a messy code, I think of this book. I recommend every junior developer to read this book, and try to implement advices here. I even watched the youtube video of Robert C. Martin ( Uncle bob ) explaining this book in some session. He says something like this. "Software is now too important, it can save people, it can kill people. We programmers should try to make our codes good, before government make it mandatory ." I truly can get what he means. So I really like & recommend this book !

As always, Keller’s 23 years of experience counseling, preaching, and evangelizing in Manhattan make his reflection on marriage particularly rich and practical. Read this book, and you’ll gain a greater appreciation for the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is both the source of our ability to love in marriage but also our model for the self-sacrifice necessary to sustain any union. You’ll be much better equipped to either find a spouse if you’re single or love the one you’re with if married.

The stories chronicled in the novel, which takes place between 1975 and 1985, reflect the drastic political and economic changes happening in China from the end of the Cultural Revolution to the early period of Reform and opening policies championed by then-Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping. The characters involved in the novel span a broad range of the socioeconomic spectrum. While the protagonists, the Suns, represent the changing life situation of common people in the underdeveloped countryside, the readers also get a personal glimpse of high-level decision-making processes and personal struggles of higher officials through the experience of Fujun, Futang's younger brother.

A good book for aspiring product managers, product managers and future product leaders.

This book gives a solid overview of product management and why product managers plays an important role to shape an organisation be a product-led company.

Another side of this book did highlight most of the challenges and struggles that product manager faced. It sort of gives someone an assurance that you're not alone. Yet, author do provide some framework and mindset that helps people to consider ways to solve their own problems

One of the key message that I learnt from this book: More often times, we are becoming stuck to measuring our success by outputs rather than outcomes. At times, we shall take a few steps backwards and ask ourselves - what are the problem we intended to solve and what are the goals we want to achieve rather than keep shipping "cool" product feature to the market without any validation. If that keeps happening, we are wasting our time and resource by delivering a product that no one wants.

Do let me know if you have read. Happy to discuss and hear your perspective after you read the book @ Seatalk or a casual coffee chat :)

Cheers,
Edward Ng
@edward.ngjw@seamoney.com
