Another side of this book did highlight most of the challenges and struggles that product manager faced. It sort of gives someone an assurance that you're not alone. Yet, author do provide some framework and mindset that helps people to consider ways to solve their own problems

One of the key message that I learnt from this book: More often times, we are becoming stuck to measuring our success by outputs rather than outcomes. At times, we shall take a few steps backwards and ask ourselves - what are the problem we intended to solve and what are the goals we want to achieve rather than keep shipping "cool" product feature to the market without any validation. If that keeps happening, we are wasting our time and resource by delivering a product that no one wants.

The habit stacking formula becomes.

“After [CURRENT HABIT], I will [NEW HABIT].”

The Three Layers of Behavior Change:

Outcomes: changing your results.

Process: changing your habits and systems.

Identity: changing your beliefs.

Lesson 8: Make It Obvious

The Implementation intention is a plan that you make beforehand about when and where to act.

The Implementation intention formula:

I will [BEHAVIOR] at [TIME] in [LOCATION].

Lesson 9: Temptation Bundling

Temptation bundling also known as Premack’s principle states that “more probable behaviors will enforce less probable behaviors”.

In simple words, it is easier to enforce something you “need” to do once you pair it with something you “want” to do.

Lesson 10: The 2-minutes Rule (Habit Shaping)

The starting part of any new habit should take only 2 minutes.

As you grow the first 2 minutes become a ritual at the beginning of a larger routine.
