Scotland is my home and the only place I have ever really knew, this is where I was born and probably the place I will be till I’m old and grey. Being Scottish is a massive part of who I am , living here my whole 20 years of life , I grew up until I was 5 or 6 in a little place called Alexandria in Dumbarton I have very faint memories of living there but the one thing I remember is the bond my parents had with all the neighbours it was almost like one big family we all kind of went into each other’s houses as we please we were that close , however we had to move as my brother has ceribal palsy and the house we lived in had too many stairs and not much disabled access, so we moved here to little old Clydebank just on the outskirts of Glasgow in a council estate home, I have grew up through all my awkward stages in my life right here in this home, it has became my comfort and I will be honest I’m scared the day I will leave this house as my heart feels most at ease being here with my parents, I have a family that love me unconditionally and I couldn’t be more overwhelmed to have such an amazing family. 

My memories growing up has always consisted of my family of 7 and our car, my family is obsessed with long road trips and going sight seeing, my family doesn’t come from much money as my mum and dad are both Carers for each other and my brother, so we would use what we have to make some memories, my grandad lives in the Isle of Skye which for us is a good 4-5 hour car journey, having a big family means a lot of pit stop on the way to the destination , if you know you just know . Growing up I always loved the adventure seeing the highlands and seeing the mountains .We would even stop sometimes on the side of the road just to take in the scenery, I can say it’s pretty breath taking to be surrounded in in mountains in the middle of no where. It beautifully peaceful. 

Another fond car journey was to see the Jacobite steam train in Glenfinan other wise know as the Harry Potter train, my family are Harry Potter fans and to say Harry Potter was filmed here in my own country is really exciting, of course we had to see the train for our own eyes however no one mentioned if you don’t time it perfectly you could be waiting hours to see the train pass across the railway bridge , we learn the hard way with a stake out as we were determined to see the train after a nearly 3 hour car journey and two McDonalds trips later, I can say it was definitely worth it and something I will never forget, I take much pride that we are one of the places Harry Potter was filmed as the Harry Potter world was my childhood it was created the year I was born in 2002 and is a franchise that’ll always being the young girl out in me .

 Overall my time in Scotland has been the most pleasurable and will always be my home, my heritage and where my future lies, nd I can’t wait to keep exploring the amazing adventure this country has to offer .
