Although she didn't succeed in her goal, she thinks that because she has computer access, it allowed her to realize that technology was advancing at such a young age.

When this person was in school, they had a "media center" that had small number of desktops. There was not many software's developed yet, so they had what we're called "floppy disks" that were used to store data or that carried a type of software on them. I have never heard of floppy disks and was interested in learning more about them. They also had projectors, but it was used to project a bigger display on the wall for all students to view while the teacher taught.

This person really liked the desktops because at the time it was new, they played mostly games like Oregon trail, so it was considered fun. The least fun was the projectors as that meant a boring teacher was behind the device.

Desktops were the start of a new era in the late 90's early 200s. It was a new form of communication such as emails, a new form of creating and storing documents and a new skill to have for their generation. It enhances this person learning experience by making it easier for creating templates that were easy on the viewer vs handwritten, spell checking and storing data.

In 2008 / 2009, this person was in middle school and by then teachers didn't really write on the board or chalk boards, they started using overhead projectors. By high school 2010-2014, smart books were used mainly as well as the general Apple laptops. In elementary everything was still chalkboards, white boards as well as the old school laptops and Apple computers with the corded mouses.

She'd say high school was best because they grew with the changes of technology and being more in touch with the changes going on in the advancement of it, it was easier to follow and get used to it. It facilitated an easier way to understand subjects and for the teachers to teach. She least liked middle school because it was sort of like being in limbo with technology, sometimes there would be technical difficulties and other times the teacher wouldn't know what to do with it.

In her case, technology in general has made great strides. Now in college, she thinks everything is in the palm of her hand. Virtual learning has been the best thing to have been implemented, zoom / teams and being able to do class on there has increased their productivity and understanding of lectures within the comfort of their home.
