Japan in second with less than $5 billion.<br>3) China produces a whopping 270 tons of gold a year, South Africa produces 156.5 tons of platinum a year, and Peru, produces an incredible 3,494 tons of silver a year.<br>4) In the 2012-2013 fiscal year, California spent $8.7 billion on prisons but only $4.8 billion on collage seamsters and UC.<br>5) US families buy around 40% of toys, but only 3.1% of the children in the world live in the US.<br>6) GDP- Gross Domestic Product - is what most people do to calculate the growth and size of a economic system.<br>7) In 2016 the GPD of the United States was 13.86 trillion dollars, but in 2016, just ten years from then, it grew 4.71 trillion dollars into 18.57 trillion.<br>8) In 1933 The Great Depression took the unemployment rate from 4% up to 25%, in turn, 13 million Americans lost their job<br>9) In 2007, ht unemployment rate was wavering just above or just below 5.0%, but when the great recession hit, the unemployment rate peaked up at around 10.0%.<br>10) The United States is the richest place in the world with a GPD of 18.57 trillion in 2016, I wonder what it will be like in 2017!</div>]]></description>
