Rachel is passionate about Art after teaching elementary and Science and it shows!
We discussed her year --mostly facilitating art and her students are lucky to have such a comfortable and collaborative environment.
We spent time looking at "pop-up" art, which will be new for her and I suggested the students consider making a pop up book for the elementary students to further understand what they are learning, for instance--the solar system, 3 branches of government. It will be interesting to see what they come up with!

Becky is spinning many plates as the Project Lead the Way coordinator and I was fascinated by her many hats!
She shared the little libraries the students have made, as well as the bees that are currently enjoying the good life in the school grounds.
I asked her how I could help her and she said she needed someone to come and talk to them about genetics...DONE! My son is a professor at Eastern Kentucky University and is able to do a Google hangout with her class...She would also like some one to speak about the brain, again this is my son's area...Can't wait to introduce them to each other!

Brett is excited about the STEM coaching in Oakville MS and we had a great discussion about his 2 grades he teaches and it's content.
There was a lengthy chat about stations and how to further engage them. The plan is to create a 4 stations using a "passport" and the students will be directed to have all 4 stations done in 40 minutes...so they will be in charge of their own timing and sequence. The class will start as a whole viewing a short video topic so get their minds set and a brief reflection at the end.
I plan on returning for the 8 am class on Oct. 4th to be the extra set of eyes and ears!
I also reminded him about the strategies, because he was explaining something similar to 25 things ...so I shared them!

Chelsea taught in a very warm room all day, but she still had a smile on her face as she greeted me...
She shared her Social studies content of Middle Ages and had a great discussion about engaging the students for better learning. l I was able to review the Mythology breakout she has set for next Monday and talked about keeping the kids engaged by differentiating the groups.
When we were chatting about allowing the students to search for results, I shared with her cse.google.com - a great place to make a secure search engine for her students.
She clearly loves what she is doing!!
