•       Group close reading and commentary on an extract from the primary texts/films allocated for the first weeks. part 1 : week 6 Monday October the 17^th in class group close reading and text analysis

•       Groups: 3 students in each group. Students have the freedom to select their partners and have to communicate the names of the members of the group to the tutor by Wednesday of week 4 (5th October). 

 

•       It is essential to participate in the assignment. The students will do the close reading as a group, not subscribing to a group can result in students not contributing to the task and missing the assignment and the 40% of the mark for this course. 

 

•       It is essential to participate in the in- class  assignment session on the  17th of October. The students will do the in-class close reading as a group, therefore missing the class will not be fair for the other members of the group and could affect the grade of the assignment for the entire group. If for health reasons you cannot attend the class, please inform the tutor asap.  Please contact the tutor asap if any issue arises and a solution will be  put in place to accommodate your needs. 

 

•       For the in- class exercise students are advised to bring a Laptop- Tablet to class in order to work collaboratively on their document. 

 

•       Object: To explore the representation of homosexuality in the selected cultural object. 

 

Substantial amount of text analysis and some quoting from both primary and secondary sources is expected in the final commentary (NB: see suggested bibliography in module handout and articles uploaded on BS)

 

•       Language: the final group commentary must be submitted  in Spanish (1500 words)

 

•       You will need to include the copy of the text elaborated in class together with the final submission of the group commentary.
