Despite seemingly dissented perspectives of the problem between the two, both groups understand their own tasks and responsibilities, especially the questions the professor has assigned. To supplement each team's progress to a viable CRM solution, the teams made requests and displayed healthy skepticism: indicative of ambitions to work out a sound solution.
Questions and Requests from the MIS Team:

"Please propose multiple strategies so that we can provide the information on which data to provide and the availability of the data."

"Given the emphasis of geolocational data proposed, why couldn't you suffice with the broader locational data from the sample data set?"

"What are your plans after you have decided your target customer base?"

Questions and Requests from the Marketing Team:

"In line with our request for the types of data needed, what will be the ethical restraints in obtaining the specific locational data?

As a marketing team, our team tried to write as little as possible on ppt and fill it with visual images. Our team's presentation began by explaining our ultimate goal, the most basic conditions for achieving it. And each of the group members presented about three complementary solutions. He also added the reasons why our team came up with such a solution and actual examples. And I let the information technology team know what data we need to achieve that.

First, the MIS team went into the presentation and first explained the information given to Crimson. Going to the main point, it was revealed that the final goal of the MIS team is to systematically collect information, turn it into data, and provide appropriate data to the marketing team. It also briefly analyzed Crimson's sample data, which is currently given, and suggested what implications it has and in what ways the survey can be expanded. The route for collecting information was mainly explained by using the Internet platform.

Both teams displayed persuasive ideas each justified by data or logic. The explanations were satisfactory and led to the consensus of strategy implementations. Some of the points rationalized by each team are as follows.
MIS Team - (references included above)
1. The focus for one area of customer goal: rentention vs attraction. (Will new market expansion truly mitigate the issue?)
2. The skepticism for the importance of geolocational data. (The other types of data: basic credentials, purchasing patterns and transactional data, should be as equally as useful; plus, the acquisition of specific location comes at an ethical cost.)
3. The skepticism for the 2nd strategy, "Limited-time sales." (Customers may be not interested in the promotion at all, and the corporations can imitate the scheme with more success.)
Marketing Team - (references included in the previous padlet)
1. Effectiveness of all three strategies. (Justified by case studies, their success, integrated research, and logical persuasion.)
2. The importance of geolocational data (Provided the article on customer insights through locational data + The relation between targeted marketing, purchasing power and property values.)
3. Non-guaranteeable competitive advantage. (Despite active goals on market advantage, the rationale that whatever we do, big companies can do better. Inquality of rivalry refernced by browser wars.)

Through the inter-departmental meeting, we wanted to get datasets like basic credentials, more specific geolocational data, customer purchasing patterns, and behaviour interactive data. We got some data based on the sample data. They also provided detailed methods to acquire data. Social media platform tracking, website/app analysis. Based on the data from the MIS team and the methods, we can target the customer that is noble to Crimson more than other large corporations.

We and the MIS team agreed on the idea Crimson should concentrate on Customer Intimacy. We suggested investing in acquisition of customized preferences and boosting emotional connection. Also, some incentives and renovative interactions are ways to interact with customers well. MIS team also presented the solution, which is Crimson should build a strong customer relationship. They suggested data-acquiring ways from customers.

Both teams highlighted the need for basic demographics, customer comments and feedbacks, purchasing behaviour and transactional data of customers. On the other hand, the goals for company's interests and the demand for effective customer interaction were also observed to be common conditions of both teams.

However, there were some differences in what data should be important.
While Marketing department have more value on geographic data, the MIS department puts more weight on data related to consumer consumption patterns and frequency types.
There were some differences in the consumer target layer as well.
