Since The Great Gatsby is set during the Jazz Age, it is only natural to include songs from that same time. Music evolved from being somewhat dreary and bland to being wild and expressive. This new way of expression affected people's moods, influenced how they acted, and changed their perspective on life as a whole. Throughout the novel, F. These lyrics stress the fact that it isn't wrong to love a person. This relates with the song "Ain't We Got Fun" because they both describe the powerfulness of love despite everything else being negative. Gatsby and Daisy face the other characters who constantly frown upon their love. However, Gatsby shows no sign of discouragement, and feeds his love for Daisy with the perspective described in both songs. "It Ain't Wrong Loving You" has a groovy mood to it that really brings out the light-hearted attitude of love being fun. It serves the same purpose of "Ain't We Got Fun" and explicates Gatsby and Daisy's blooming love instead of shaming and trying to hide it.}
