Traditionally, we learn history through a myopic eurocentric lens that intentionally ignores the voices, histories, and contributions of marginalized groups. Ethnic Studies allows me, as a history teacher, to teach a more complete and holistic view of history and give voice to those traditionally marginalized groups.
