Q2.2 How we embedding collaborative learning into lesson design?

I agree on a shared languages between teachers. The thecnologies help to implement a cooperative learning model. Unfortunately in my school there are many problems:
1. Change of mentality of teaching by many teachers;
2. Lack of technologies in the classrooms (Tablet, LIM, ..)
3. Difficulty of working in groups by students because not used by many teachers.
In my opinion we should change the way of doing school . We should work on interdisciplinary projects and not on specific disciplines.
Q 2.3 What do you think of the 4 major questions presented by Professor Deirdre Butler?
The four collaboration questions are very important for a collaborative learning activity. They help to work togheter; help to shared responsability; help to make substantive decisions and to help to work interdependent. But the way is very long and tiring. In our activity we started gradually with the help of these questions.
Q 2.4 Do you think it is useful the Collaboration Rubric?
Thank you for this suggestion! It's very very important for our teaching activity. It's helps to start a real cooperative learning. We want to improve thanks to this course.
Q 2.5 What do you think of the example scenarios?
The seven steps learning scenario temple: dream- explore-map-make-ask-remake-show
It's very interesting and a ingenious idea for a effective teaching!
Q 2.6 Laerning activity: low and high level
Our low level activity ,according to "Activity Rubric, is CODE 1-2 because the teacher role was very important.
The high level was the activity in groups of four students. How can we teachers persuade students that assessing for learning can
be more relevant than assessment of learning? How can we plan assessment for learning as an
ongoing process without stopping the spontaneous flowing of ideas and creativity while
students are collaborating?"
Dear Anna you're a wonderful teacher.
We fully agree on the importance of renewing of teaching and assessing which aims an educational learning and a formative assessment. Unfortunately in our school it's used only summative assessment. But the examples given in the Co-Lab Assessment guidelines will help us to renew our methods..and we will use it as soon in possible.
Q 3.8 Luis Valente: Answers on assessing collaborative learning
Diagnostic assessment : use a rubric covering the following four dimensions: - factual (facts, events), - conceptual (concepts, ideas), - procedural (how to do), - meta-cognitive (explanations).
Very interesting.
We belive that self and peer assessment helps students to be leaders and responsible of their Knowledge. In our collaborative learning experience and self- peer assestment we have seen that the less motivated students were able to express themselves with greater creativity and objectivity. We agree to assigning a percentage weight to individual assessment as part of the summative assessment related to collaborative work.

Q4. 1 Q&A Session with Prof. Deirdre Butler!

Thank's for this opportunity. We would ask if is possible to have ( for students 14-19 years): 1. a Rubric (example) for self-assessment 2. a rubric (example) for peer-assessment 3. a rubric (example) for group assessment. Thank's for your availability. Q 4.2 A How can teacher collaboration facilitate collaborative learning? Thanks Valentina for your experience! We share the importance of collaborating beetween teachers for our professional Growing and also to support us. It's true! It's difficult to collaborate with the collegues..but we Started to exchange experiences, to share difficulties and new teaching practices ...also sharing the CO-LAB experience. q 4.3 An experience of teacher collaboration Digital tools and social networks help a lot in the collaboration and sharing innovative experiences. I used Edmodo platform to realize an activity in collaboration with a colleague from my school. But we must do more to improve collaboration among teachers! Q 4.4 The benefits and challenges of teacher collaboration It's very interesting to collaborate between teachers because it helps to collaborate beetween pupils. But unfortunately there is still a lot to do....we need a cultural change as well as digital tools available in our school! Q 4.5 Skills and conditions needed for teacher collaboration We totally agree with training teacher. We must change our mindset. Unfortunately, students are not used to work together because teachers work individually and so don't have a collaborative model.
