Teaser: In this story, a pair of worms meet each other while trying to eat a giant pear. After fighting over it, they become entangled and learn to work together to figure out the situation.
Teaching Idea: This would be a good story to teach my students about how to solve a conflict when sharing doesn't work out in the beginning. The two worms didn't seem to click at once but once they were forced to figure themselves out of the situation, they were able to interact and work together to survive.

Teaser: Monkey doesn't like the fact that Dog will not share the red ball with him so they can play together. But Monkey doesn't realize it's not Dog's fault and that he may not have been a good friend either.
Teaching Idea: This story is a good example for the background of sharing. Monkey didn't know Dog wasn't able to get his paws on it but decided to be upset then learn his lesson at the end. I can explain to my students that they should always know the full story before they choose to be upset at someone for not doing something they want.

Teaching Idea: This story gives a great outline for understanding the concept of giving. The tree wanted to give everything she could to make the boy happy until she no longer could. I could tell my students to appreciate anything given to them and to always give back whether its to their friends, family, or even the community in any way to put in their part.
