Faerie Tale by Raymond E Feist

I read the book Faerie Tale by Raymond E. Feist. I chose this book because it was one of my favorites when I was younger and had not read it in about 15 years. I finished the whole book.

Faerie Tale is a story about a family that moves to rural NY from California. Their house is old and the previous owner is surrounded in mystery. The house sits on a bunch of land that itself has stories and legends that surround it. Shortly after moving in, strange things start to happen. Then, one night, the twin boys, after having experienced most of the supernatural events, are visited by a dark entity and its "pet." One of the boys manages to scream, bringing the adults, and scaring off the intruders...but not before his brother is taken and replaced by the "pet." This tips off the next part of the book where Sean, the surviving twin, goes on a journey to find and rescue his brother from the dark entity, known as, "The Fool." He, and his family, eventually come face to face with beings as old as the earth itself...the Fay, or Fairies...of myth and legend. Racing against time before they move their home for another few decades, Sean enters their world, while his family and others work in the real world to right the wrongs of The Fool.

This is book is one of my favorites from this author, who is also the author of the Midkemia books. This is his one book that takes place in the contemporary world. The story builds slowly, but all the while foreshadowing dark events to come. And when they do, you are taken on a wild ride. It's a fun read, part suspense, part horror, part fairy tale. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes fast, but entertaining read dealing with the supernatural.

I read the book Riding Freedom by Brian Selznick I chose this book because it was interesting. The book was boring at the start but I kept reading and the more I read it got better. I finished the book in 15 days the story is about a girl who had no freedom were she lived. Charlotte was a girl who lived in the orphanage that was full of boys. The orphanage that she lived in kept her there and she was never free. Where she lived everyone in the orphanage was mean to her but the only people that didn't treat her like nothing was a boy Evelyn and a horse guy. After Evelyn left she ran away from the orphanage and she faked her on death by throwing her clothes in the river and she had to pretend to be boy so no one could recognize her. She found a farm so she hid there and 2 days later a farmer found her in his barn. The farmer's name was Ebeneezer he was shocked by a boy living in his barn he was about to kick him out but charlotta asked him if she could stay with him. He didn't want but him really needed some help so Ebeneezer agreed to that. Ebeneezer was leaving in a month so Charlotta had a month to stay here. Ebenezer teaches her how to ride a wagon with six horses. At first she fails but she tries it again and again until she finally got good at it. Ebeneezer decided to let Charlotta drive a coach for and take passers. Everyone started to want to go on Charlotte's coach because she was the fast coach rider ever. Ebeneezer even smiled when people wanted to go on Charlotte's coach.one day when Charlotte was taking some passers when she saw someone in the crowd it was Millshark with some new boots and a tux. When Charlotte saw him she was worried but she had to keep clam. When the kid and women got off Millshark wanted to sit right next to Charlotte. Charlotte told him that he could only be in the coach with everyone else. Millshark bribed her with cigars and she had no choice because coach riders like cigars. Charlotte and Millshark are on the coach sitting next to eachother but Charlotte knew where to go so she sped up and got stuck. The book Riding Freedom was good it was boring at the start but it got better at THE END
