Ziegfeld was a extraordinary man who created the exquisite world of musical theater including factors such as the displacement and decoration of ladies, also known as follies. He also made the ladies wear very bright and huge elegant clothing as well as had huge scenes with lots of dazzling things going on for example having a merry-go-round on a stage. 
Although I do believe that his views on trying to portray the american girl through his shows as an cheap disrespectful use of the countries beauty. Although I do believe it is very beneficial to the follies themselves because, they sort of gain self-confidence respect, and love, knowing that they are beautiful enough to be a follies and that people pay to come and see them. It's almost like the feeling of being in a beauty pageant or being a model. It also gives young girls something to look up to, and be inspired by.
