I was named after a girl my mother met while she was working at a library when she went to college, in New Jersey. The girl was East Indian, from what I am told. It seemingly means daughter of the mountains. I love my name even though my full name is rather long. People mostly call me by my first name, though closer friends call me Le'Le'. I wouldn't want anyone to call me anything else other Shalaisjah if we aren't close enough. I don't like some people anyway...

No, I wasn't named after anyone. My father named me though, he says that my name means the love of God. I feel kinda upset when someone calls me something other than my name because why call me something other than what I was named?

I was named after the Islamic Prophet's Daughter since I was born a Muslim. She was "one of the 4 perfect women mentioned in the Quran, it actually means "one who weans". Her name was actually "Fatima", but my parents put an "H" on the end to make me more special~ I really don't care if somebody says my name wrong, its a common mistake among others. A lot of people call me FatiChan, FatiFubu, Fati, Fatte Latte, I could go on and on.

i wasn't named after anybody .My name is important to me because its different and I have only met one other person with the same name as me .I feel disrespected when someone calls me something else beside my name

No, I wasn't named after anyone. My god mommy named me though, it doesn't mean anything to me but to younger kids my name is very special because it's a name of a cartoon character. When someone call me something other then my name I don't get upset because they ain't shake nothing :)

I was named after my grandmother my name does have a special meaning to me because my grandmother is a great person . I do not mind when people call me out my name because I know my name and what I am worth.

No, I am not named after anyone. My mom wanted it to be different even though its a little popular. When someone call me Tyra I dont get upset because its hard to pronounce.

Where did my name come from? My grandfather is a very spiritual person and wanted to name my older brother Zechariah out of the bible. When i came my mom wanted me and my brother to have the same initials. My dad liked Asia and my mom decided to put Zy in front of it. That's how they came up with Zy'Asia <3

I was supposed to be a boy. But, I was a girl, so my mom named me Laura. My middle name is "Mae" and that was my maternal AND paternal grandmas' names.
