The traditional assignments (Formal assessment) such as exams and papers  that teachers often use to find the  grades for a students. It requires strategy and  time to design the assessment and evaluation.

Informal Assessment involves the Classroom Assessment Techniques(CAT). These techniques are simple, non–graded,  classroom activities that give both teacher as well as student a useful feedback on the teaching–learning process. It saves time and it requires student /teacher ratio as less as possible.
