Should the framework identify which AI tools the students will be permitted to use. Once these are determined, should they be added to the document?

If teachers are expected to use AI- is there opportunities for professional upskilling? Some teachers are less comfortable with this, and with all the current demands in terms of programming and new platforms, is it reasonable for teachers to upskill in their own time?

the year 3 teaching team have been using Copilot to assist with resource creating this year. Getting it to create differentiated comprehension questions, fact files for students to use, image generation for writing prompts etc. Our students do not use AI at all in our classrooms. We would like to be able to use AI more for administrative tasks, but we would need to be unskilled in this area.

Time to build confidence!

Supporting our staff to use AI to help create high quality work.

For example; teaching staff how to use AI embedded with Canva. Did you know, you can ask Canva to create a code, which can create a website? For example, ‘code me a Year 2 friendly website, where students can practice spelling high frequency words and use them in sentences”.

For programming/lesson ideas ToddleAI is a more specific platform than CoPilot for educational settings.

Safety protocols? - “No personal information shared with AI tools” - does that include in Toddle & CoPilot?

We like the reference in the philosophy that acknowledges the importance of the framework ‘enhancing teaching’, adding to ‘admin efficiency’ and ‘maintaining human relationships’ 🙌
We feel the Core Principles are very valuable and highly appropriate
In the Developmentally Appropriate section of the Core Principles we would like to see dot point 3 maybe placed first as we feel that is the most significant point
We have concerns about the privacy of students/student data within Toddle…..?!
The emphasis on rules and safety from an early age is so important and we like the inclusion of this
We feel the expectations for our age group are excellent - there is an appropriate balance between what they know already and need to learn
Professional Learning in this space will be highly important eg. staff using copilot V ChatGPT V Toddle/other platforms
