Although brief, my only interaction with you (in the interview) was quite influential in the decision to join. I can absolutely imagine why your colleagues are so full of praise for you! Everyone interviewed by you, at least, can bear testament to your kind and gentle manner and having been asked about their favourite books, movies and TV series, which helped them relax and communicate their thoughts effectively. What's more incredible is the ease with which you went about it, sitting thousands of miles away from those you spoke to (for the very first time!!). I don't think such qualities are easily attained, and hence, I see no hyperbolism in the outpouring of appreciation for your work, as can generally be the case in farewell wishes.
