That shows us that Guario did not did what the garida told him, and he could have said wait for my sister to get down instead of not moving and staying there.

And i know what some are going to say (specifically Mrs. Netis) why would you blame a young girl for being in shock of seeing her brother die ? well i respond with that even though she was in shock she should not have been outside in the first place she snuck out when her mother told her to get in the house it was her who got out and before you say "OH sHe gOt OuT FoR saFeTy " NO she got out of the house because she heard the noises of the bulldozer and the villagers ,then made her way to the tree were she saw the ill fate of Guario in her eyes.
