Mattie is an American singer and songwriter  best known as the lead vocalist and frontman in the Chritian metal core band For Today,  and has released five albums with the band. He got envolved in music when he was 15 years old listening to bands like: Pale and Static Lullaby

He was born in July 24 1987 (Michigan). His father passed away of cancer when he waas only 8 years old and he didn't wrog up with a man in his family, he lived with his mom. He played soccer for 15 years; he played pro- soccer because he was an excellen soccer player, he had a team in his high school, and when Montgomery started his collage he participated in the soccer team, but then unfortunately he sprained his ankle.

Montgomery is an outspoken Christian. He is very passionate about Jesus and has made this evident with lyrics of For Today. Montgomery also works as an evangelist. In this time Mattie has a wife "Candice", and they have two beautiful sons "Malakai and Owen".
