There were a few things that I found surprising, one thing was how big the school was and how many different programs they had for the students. Another thing that I was surprised by was how the students all seemed like they wanted to.

3. My goal going into next week is to be able to get to know the students better and interact more.

4. I don't think so right now

Exit tickets are also good to get the brain going and reflect. I think completion based assignments are also great so the students do it for credit like homework but in class activities should be graded so the student pays attention to the lecture.

4-Give at home letters in the beggining and end of a semester to tell the parent how the kid is doing. If the parents have to be more involved sending weekly letters or calls is also good.

I think to demonstrate your knowledge in the classroom it is important to have very structured lessons which included all information that students will need to know later for assignments or tests. Also answer all questions clearly and make sure that the students are on the same page and understand after you answer them.

I think to establish a culture of learning it is important to maintain a good relationship with your students by showing respect to them but also pushing them to do their best and improve. Also try ing to have a welcoming classroom environment where students feel comfortable and like to be.

I think that I would like to do pretty frequent assessments, at least informal assessments, because they are very important for the teacher to be able to see where the students are at. Not jsut do they help to see where the students are at but it also gives them more opportunities to do well or improve if they don't do well on some.

I think a good way to keep the aren't involved is like the example you said of sending a weekly email to the parents so they know whats going on.

1) I honestly have a couple big takeaways from this class. One is just taking a deep dive into learning, in all of my other classes we learned why these strategies worked but never really how. Especially the lessons on how to study better have been a huge help to me in my own learning. Another big take away is just how important it is to have a group of people with the same goal as you and being able to bounce ideas off of each other.

2) My big take away from field experience is learning how to have a solid relationship with your students before trying to teach them anything. If you start by being a teacher they like it makes a wold of a difference when you are not only trying to teach them but also in classroom management. If you show them respect for their time, and them as humans, they show you a lot of understanding and respect back.

3) There isn't anything I currently need in regards to my final
