Xochiquetzal is the Aztec goddess of beauty, fertility, and female sexual power, often characterized by flowers and feathers. She was also a patroness of prostitutes and lovers. She protected mothers through birth and their crafts. She encouraged sex and could rid sins from people. She was unlike most fertility gods because she encouraged sex not for children, but for fun. (But still babies). She was said to seduce priests and turn them into scorpions.
