16% is a lot of companies for something as data theft. I think it's something that should be more protected.

Summary:
Companies hold information that can compromise their costumers. They have to take responsibility to protect this data. Data theft is considered one of the biggest security threats, and last year, in the UK 16% of large companies have suffered successful attack. Social engineering is being used to scam people into giving away sensitive information. And, although it may seem an issue only addressed for large companies, small companies are also being targeted for data theft.

It is very important to protect ourselves from hackers and pay a lot of attention to them because very often we don't even realize we're being hacked.

Summary:
Hackers are not always obvious or extremely complex informatics, sometimes even by accepting something on a random website or clicking certain links, you can enable access to your personal data without even realizing. The reasons a hacker would want your data are infinite, but the ones listed in the arguments are the main ones.

Summary:
It is basically impossible to own a phone without its apps and programs knowing pretty much everything about you. From enabling certain apps to access your camera and pictures to the cookies you accept in basically any website, all these functions are just subtle ways of programs accessing your data with your permission.

Summary: 
There's a ton of people using social media nowadays. Social media takes your data to target particular people with effective ads. Closed groups don't guarantee complete anonymity and may expose personal information, which can affect you in real life. By threatening to impersonate you, someone could exploit your personal information and demand money from you. Scams that steal your account and password circulate more easily  on social media. Cybercriminals are capable of stealing enough personal data to enable them to start a credit account in your name. Cybercriminals also may set up fictitious firms to trick individuals into disclosing their credit card information. Although we don't always directly expose our data, if one of our friends accidentally does, we run the risk of having it stolen. The majority of smartphones track and store your location data automatically. Digital networks are interested in this kind of information. The social media platforms still own your contents, even if you decide to deactivate or delete your account.
