I really liked the original as well but it was a little too boring and simple for my taste. After experimenting with many ways to edit this picture I settled on this one. I increased the blackness of the bird to almost give the picture a silhouette feel except the background wasn't a beach it was a gradient of blues that I thought were perfect for the photo. I love how the photo is so simple yet at the same time so mysterious and intriguing. Then I altered it in Photoshop to make the color seem less boring and pop. I finally decided on these colors because they made the photo more appealing to the viewer and I loved how they were complementary enough to make each other stand out. I also really like the lines and how they curve at the end giving a sense of continuation because they are an essential part of the photo and help give the picture some minimalist qualities.
