Participating in COIL project was an instigating experience due to the connection we had with foreign teachers. Hearing from them was mind opening to other realities and we could reflect about our and their challenges.

I really enjoyed participating in this project and being able to comunicate with people from another country and get to know a lit bit about them and their university. Even though we didn’t get the chance to talk more with them, it was a great opportunity to learn from them.

Even though we didn't communicate directly/simultaneously with the students, hearing back from them about our question in specific was interesting because we got to notice some differences and similarities towards the way they teach english and how it is regulated.

It was a great experience to hear from other country language students and exchange our knowledge and the way the course works in different places. The only thing I would make different is the way the questions and answers are organized. I believe it would be great to hear an answer from the same people we answered the question

Participating in this project was an interesting way of contacting others students. Being able to know how they handle teaching problems or nacional curriculums for an example was insightful. Also, the contact with another accent highlights the necessity of learning how to comprehend and including those different accents in class.

I really liked the concept of this project and its execution, because I think it was a new and effective way of integrating external experiences into the Brazilian context within our constraints. It was particularly enriching to encounter various accents of the language and engage in the exchange of experiences and perspectives about teaching English.

It was a great experience, because I rarely have contact with non native speakers. I enjoyed sharing my experience and met people from another place and their experience. In my opinion, It was one of the most interesting activities I developed at the university.

I really enjoyed the COIL activity, I think it’s important for us to talk with different people around the world and get to learn from their experiences in teaching. However, I wished that the same people who have made the questions to us would have answered them.

It was really nice to be part of the project. We were able to know and talk to people from a different country. We were able to know their reality and relation with English and we could also share experiences with them. So it was very interesting to be part of COIL. The only “problem” I believe it needs to be solved is the fact that we sent videos to one group of people, but received from a different group of people. In this way, we couldn’t get the answers from the people we thought we would get. Without considering this problem, it was really nice to talk in English with people from another country.

I thought it was an interesting experience to interact with people from other country who also has english as second language. The interaction regarding teaching english gave us good reflective material, since our concerns as english teachers were similar and we shared some experience as latin countries.

Being part of the COIL project was very interesting. While recording videos can feel a bit awkward, it helped us to practice pronunciation and learn a bit more how English teaching works internationally. I feel very grateful for the experience.

This has been an enriching experience, since even though I did not have all the knowledge I required to answer the question I was signed, I had time to investigate for the terms they use more where they are learning. Knowing how persons learn things in different countries, makes us more curious about new topics. English is a language that can unite us with other people.

The COIL project was an interesting interactive experience. Sharing our views on learning and teaching English from the perspective of our country. It was refreshing to provide our opinion about the English program and some teaching techniques used on our campus. Furthermore, it was curious to hear the differences between our accents, since even though we study English as a second language, our native language influences our pronunciation.

The project was a perfect opportunity for us to share our experience and know different ways to practice. I feel completely proud and grateful for be part of this amazing project because we do not always have an opportunity like this to interact with people from other country that they are going through the same situation like us. Learning English in a country where it does not an official language can be hard, but we are lucky to have teachers like our, they are trying to give us the best that they can, trying to help us to improve our skills.

The COIL project was a nice experience. This program allowed us to have contact with foreign students who shared our same interest in the English language. Through the videos we could share some topics of interest, such as the techniques or methods used by the university to learn a new language. We were also able to hear the different opinions of the students about the English program but in their own country. In the end it was a good experience that I would like to live again.
