Hello! I think some difficulties are:

1) The lack of connection some topics may have to our country and context. Textbooks are designed to be used in different countries and contexts, and we may feel the disconnection of some topics with our own learning context.

2) (in connection to the previous idea) Some students may not feel connected to the topics introduced in the units.

3) Following the activities presented in the units may result in a monotonous class. Even though we can add extra materials and use different resources, we may feel that there is no time to cover everything and move from one activity to the other.

1) Coursebooks can be costly, especially when they include supplementary materials, which can be a barrier for some students with limited budgets.Fortunately, we can get by on materials provided by our institution , which will not give our students access to the interactive function of the book in and of itself but we can make the participate all the same .

2) Coursebooks are typically designed to follow a linear path, which can be restrictive leading to limited flexibility thus making it difficult to adapt lessons to different learning speeds, styles, or individual needs without additional resources, which is why we generally use realia and supplementary info

3)Some coursebooks have overload content, that is , they are packed with information overwhelming learners or leading to rushing through materials without fully understanding key concepts.

4)( Related to what Florencia Carrió has commented on her padlet in point 1) Coursebooks can sometimes reflect only one cultural perspective, making it challenging to expose learners to a variety of worldviews and cultural contexts leading to insufficient cultural diversity.Anyways, again, we use supplemmentary material so that they can understand . We have almost everything at a click of our hands.

-The sequence of grammar contents does not follow what we know about developmental patterns of acquisition of certain L2 forms. Both students and teachers may feel frustrated.

-In higher levels the amount of L2 content in terms of lexical items does not seem to take into account what learners can really learn. They are presented with the item and that´s it. Few opportunities for consolidation of prior (particallly learned) learning.
