Maybe the center should just fix the problems they had. I don’t know much about the time frame they give for fixing problems at centers however it is probably a good start. I think perhaps letting them know would be best. It would resolve the ratio issue which to my understanding is a huge deal as well as the other issues. If those things are resolved it creates a better environment for the children who attend.

The center is not following the licensing regulations. Also, the licensing agent is not making sure everything is in compliance with the regulations. She can get in contact with the state licensing agency anonymously and give the information.

Something terrible could happen to a child and her failure to report could have prevented it. Shana thinks the center is neglecting basic regulations, so I think she should contact the state inspectors and report to them anonymously.

Keeping the children safe in this school is the most important thing that I could think of. My values and belief would play an important role in my decision making in this case. I would report her to an inspector or to the licensing agency; I would be an advocate for the safety of the children in that program. I would support policies and the laws that promote the well-being of children. In her case she needs to think that if her children was in that situation what would she do. I think that she would report them to the inspector.
