A lesson where my students were highly engaged was a lesson on weathering, erosion and deposition. During this lesson the students were provided a story of a muskrat named Rusty living along a meandering stream. The students had to identify which points of the story identified a point and which the stream went through weathering, erosion and deposition. As the story was engaging for the students they began to build a relationship with Rusty and used Rusty as a method to remember the 3 processes.

I realized that with special education students all being home that I had to come up with new creative ways for students to interact with the science material whether it is through different platforms, games or discussions.
