         <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><ul><li><strong>Organism</strong>   Whitetail Deer: large body mammal that live for around seven to eight years.  The whitetail has a long white tail and it is its most distinctive feature.</li><li><strong>Niche in Habitat</strong>   The whitetail prefers a cold and frigid environment; however, they thrive in warm and dry places such as South Texas.  They feed on plants such as corn, clovers, or other plants.  Whitetails are browsers, therefore they may be maintained on marginal land unsuitable for cattle, sheep and horses. They require little more than natural cover, browse, graze and nutritional supplements along with adequate water supply.  Minerals and proteins are important in the deer diet; soil sampling and pasture management are fundamental tools for deer management.</li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li><strong>Related Organism</strong>   Mule Deer: large body mammal that lives for around seven to eight years.  The male mule deer has long tall horns and look relatively similar to the whitetail, but branch off of different antlers.</li><li><strong>Niche in Habitat </strong>  The niche of a mule deer is very similar to that of the whitetail deer.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Ligator:</strong></div><ol><li>About 3-4 feet tall</li><li>Grows from 12-14 feet long</li><li>Weighs 400-600 pounds</li></ol><div><br></div><ul><li>Lives in African wetlands and African coast</li><li>The Ligator prowls the coast and wetlands for a high source of protein.&nbsp; This organism is known to consume all African animals, and in rare cases, humans.</li><li>Ligator has an altered sense of smell which helps it smell its prey from very long distances; it has altered vision which helps it spot camouflaged prey, and its small legs help it stay low while stalking prey.</li><li>The chances you will see a Ligator is slim to none.  But it can be captured by throwing rocks and spears at it.</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>
