This is especially true when it comes to our relationships with the people we care about… Our attitude determines how we see the world and our place in it and how we treat people around us. Negative attitudes can create a circle of negative feelings and eventually drive away people who are important to you. Your attitude can get you in trouble, too. Just think of the last time you said something unkind to someone and they looked at you with hurt and disbelief. You didn’t mean to hurt them… Or maybe you did. Maybe it’s the way you are. Maybe your attitude has been hurtful and negative for so long that you don’t even think about it anymore. But let me ask you, what does that say about you? What does that say about someone who can’t even treat people with kindness? What does that say about someone who lacks the ability to care about others? Being nice matters. Good relationships matter. Being a good person matters. And none of that requires any special intelligence or innate talent.
